Lifetime Planning
Many individuals decide to pass on some of their assets to family members during their lifetime as a means of mitigating Inheritance Tax. This may be done in the following ways:
- Making an outright gift to a person
- By way of the creation of a Lifetime or Discretionary Trust. Creating a Trust ensures that some control is retained by the person creating it. The assets can only be utilised in accordance with the Trust Deed by the Beneficiaries or class of Beneficiaries named within it
We can assist in advising you in relation to lifetime planning matters and setting out the options that would be available to you based on your financial and personal circumstances.
