Sydney trained at a firm in Derby before joining the Straw and Pearce childcare department as a newly qualified solicitor. Sydney represents parents subject to Social Care involvement at all levels, advising her clients throughout Child Protection reviews, Pre-Proceedings and Care Proceedings. Sydney has previous experience dealing with private law matters such as Child Arrangements Orders and Non-Molestation Orders, which allows her to recognise the bigger picture and identify where her clients may be assisted in other areas of the law.

Sydney aims to develop her knowledge and experience within the childcare department and work towards Children Law Accreditation.
