Jamie Simner
Jamie works closely with the Police Federation of England and Wales and specialises in Police misconduct and discipline. He represents police officers facing misconduct and criminal allegations for both on and off duty matters at all stages of investigations and proceedings.
In relation to Police misconduct and discipline, Jamie is often instructed to represent officers who are alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour and therefore under investigation and subjected to gross misconduct proceedings initiated by Professional Standards (PSD), the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), Anti-Corruption Units and other investigatory bodies.
Jamie has considerable experience in all aspects of criminal defence and has represented clients at the interview and investigation stage accused of a wide variety of allegations ranging from minor driving offences to murder. Jamie is also a Magistrates’ Court advocate and regularly prepares both Magistrates’ and Crown Court cases.
Jamie is also regularly instructed by the Police Federation to advise officers who are assessed as Key Police Witnesses at Post Incident Procedures. He has assisted officers in relation to fatal police pursuits, police contact deaths and other serious matters. Jamie’s main aim is to protect the best interests of the officers in these difficult circumstances.
Jamie prides himself on providing a high standard of representation which includes ensuring that excellent client care and confidence is maintained throughout the duration of the case and very much operates with a ‘no stone left unturned’ approach.
