Jaiker Chauhan

Jaiker joined Straw & Pearce in 2021 as a Paralegal in the Family department and is currently a Trainee Solicitor in the Criminal department.

Before joining Straw & Pearce, Jaiker graduated with a First Class Honours LLB Law Degree from the University of Essex.

Prior to graduating from the University of Essex, Jaiker completed various work experience placements in a range of areas of Law, from Company/ Commercial to Crime and Property. Jaiker’s work experience placements have been at reputable firms such as KPMG and St Ives Chambers.

Since starting Straw & Pearce, Jaiker has gained over 3 years’ experience in the Child Care Family department by representing parents at Pre-Proceedings meetings, Case Conferences and has also assisted Solicitors in cases representing parents, Children Guardian’s and various Local Authorities in Care Proceedings. Jaiker also often assisted Solicitors in the Private Family department.

In August 2024, Jaiker was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (LPC) with a Distinction from University of Law. Jaiker completed the Legal Practice Couse part-time over a two-year period at University of Law’s Birmingham campus which he started in 2022.

Jaiker commenced his Training Contract in August 2024 and is currently undertaking his first seat in the Criminal department. Alongside his seat in the Criminal department, Jaiker has started the Police Station Representative Accreditation Scheme with Cardiff University to enable him to advise suspects at the police station.

Jaiker will compete his Training Contract and hopes to qualify as a Solicitor in 2026.

Jaiker offers a high level of client care; where clients have spoken very highly of him and he aims to ensure that clients achieve the best possible outcome.
